Always Hard To Say Goodbye...

Hi everyone! My doggies are my best companions. Dog lovers know just how important our fur babies are to us so it's extra nice when they are recognized as one of the family. I made this card for a friend to give to a co-worker after she lost her elderly dog. I will be entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Pets Corner.

I kept the colors masculine as it was a male dog and layered some stitched die cut rectangles for the background. The background sentiment stamp was done in light gray and is so true! The dog die cut was colored to resemble their pup and stacked with a paw print and a tiny heart die.

I added a strand of twine and topped that off with a trio of doggy charms. I gave the bone charm a bit of definition with some hand drawn stitches and stamped a sweet sentiment onto the heart. A sweet sympathy card for such a sweet friend!

2017 Monthly Mini:January!

Hi everyone! I had so much fun with my Monthly Mini series in 2015 that I decided to do it all again this year! I adore mini scrapbooks! They are small but they pack the cutest punch! This months mini is no exception!

I have had this We R Memory Keepers 'Crush' paper, stickers and card stock shapes since last year and sadly did not use them. Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner, I decided to make good use of all this sweetness and create a mini scrapbook perfect for all kinds of lovey photos and memorabilia!

I did use some complimenting card stock in red, pink and seafoam and cut those with a stitched die for all of the pages. Then I layered and stacked all of the fun ephemera onto each page and added some bits of sparkle and bling! Here are the front sides of this adorable mini:

And, of course, the back sides of all of the pages! I am such a fan of all of the gold accents in this still super cute collection!

I punched holes in the center of all the pages and hooked them together with a bright pink connector ring. A sparkly red ribbon is the perfect touch to complete this charming mini scrapbook!

Simple Watercolor Valentine!

Hi everyone! I have a card today for the current Color Throwdown Challenge that also works for the soon to be here Valentine's Day!  The colors this week are soft and muted and perfect for a bit of watercoloring.

The card I created is super clean and simple and even though it has sequins, I think it could work as a masculine card too! I stamped the heart shaped sentiment onto white card stock and then added in a watercolored heart in the challenge colors. I can't pass up on shine, so I added bright silver paint on top!

I layered the card front over some turquoise patterned paper for a bit of interest and topped off the design with a few coordinating sequins! Soft and simple and such a sweet message!

Pink and Green Challenge!

Hi everyone! Happy New Year!  I've been busy crafting but this is my first blog post of the year and it feels good! I created this card for the Color Throwdown #424 Challenge and the color combo this week is awesome! I am also entering it into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: New Something!

I started by blending a pink and green background from Distress Inks onto Neenah Solar White card stock and them misted the whole thing with a mixture of water and Perfect Pearls for a pretty shine! I layered a fabulous black die cut cover onto the background and couldn't resist adding in some tiny hearts! It is getting close to Valentine's Day.......

I just love the new Kristina's Love die set and was so excited to use it! I kept to the color scheme and layered the pink over the green. I also added in an embossed sentiment from the coordinating stamp set!
